Starting in Upper Manhattan, we head over to Riverside Park which, as it name implies, borders the Hudson River. We walk
south and eventually along the Hudson River where the views are spectacular. On the way, we will pass the Soldiers’
and Sailors’ Monument, a really interesting playground as well as a rocky outcropping where the great American writer
and poet Edgar Allen Poe used to visit. We'll practically end up in the Hudson River- without getting wet- as we walk out
along a pier which stretches right out into the River. We'll then continue on to Riverside Park's beautiful
new addition.
Although this tour is recommended on a nice summer evening when the sun is setting, of course
it can be taken at anytime and any season. It is a little more than 2 hours in length and we will end up walking
about 2 ½ miles.
